Farewell my friendYou were my best friend when no one else would spare even a glance. On a dark quiet night, I could feel safe knowing you were watching over me. You always came when I felt down and just one look into your bright eyes so full of life could lift my spirits and make me smile. I remember when you first came to us, how you seemed so small and helpless. All you needed was my little finger to be comforted. Everyday I would hurry home to see you. You were always happy to see me, as much as I was to see you. I only wish I could have been there when you really needed me, when things started going wrong. I cant believe that when I go home now, i wont see your face through the door, see you running outside, that i wont be able to hug you or play with you. Thank you for taking care of me for all these years. I cant remember a time without you and I cant believe that i there will be a time without you. Im just happy that you are not suffering, knowing that can take care of yourself just like you took care of me. I miss you so much already and it kills me inside that i was not there during your last days. The tears cant seem to stop. It is my loss that I will not be able to see you again. Im sorry I cant do anything for you, not even have you buried. Twelve years seemed to have passed far too quickly. Thank you so much for everything you've ever done for me. I love you. Good bye
